I’ve been reading that Spectrum has been or is in the process of increasing its base internet speed from 100/10 to 200/10 at no extra charge across its footprint. Does anyone at Spectrum have a rough timeframe as to when this upgrade will hit Los Angeles?

    Go here:

Input your address and you will get a ratecard for your area which will show what internet services and tv services are available for your address. hth

    for example mine shows this:

    Spectrum Internet 100/10

    Spectrum Internet 100/10 with WiFi$70.99

    Spectrum Internet 200/10

    Spectrum Internet 200/10 with WiFi$70.99

    Spectrum Internet Ultra 400/20

    Spectrum Internet Assist 30/4 **

Spectrum Internet Assist 30/4 with WiFi **$19.99

    Spectrum Internet Gig

Notice that the 100/10 service is the same price as the 200/10 service?  All I did was call Spectrum and ask to be upgraded  from 100/10 to 200/10 at no upgrade cost.

Bummer.   My area only has 100 and 400.    I have no need for 400

May have to contact them in a couple weeks myself... our card is showing the same rates for 100 and 200 also. My promo rate just ended, so going to menu rates on the 20th.

If a modem reset doesn't pick up a speed bump when the billng updates, def. gonna give them a shout. Getting that bump in speed will soften the almost $20 price bump from losing the promo pricing.

Got the new bill with the new pricing, went by the local office to ask about the rate card showing both tiers at 65.99. Was told they are rolling out upgrades by area.

Basically, gotta wait for them to update things on our neighborhood and it will be an "automatic" upgrade (like the move from 60 to 100 last year).

Guess I will just start rebooting the modem each month when I pay the bill.

No need to reboot. When the speed tier is live, Spectrum should reboot your modem during the next maintenance period.

FYI, those 'bulk upgrades'  normally take place overnight between 1AM and 5 AM local time, so leave your modem and router powered up 7x24.
