WKYC - Northeast Ohio

Trying to watch the VIkings @ SF today on this channel is a joke. Stuttering / pixelation / image quality is pathetic for an OTA channel! Using Spectrum app on Apple TV 4k. I have restarted the Apple TV,  and modem. The Apple TV is connected via ethernet right to my router. Rebooting all device has not made a difference. I have 400mbps down 24 up.

    Generally speaking when you have problems with picture quality it is a connectivity issue.

     

    If you will post your modem logs and signal levels that may help with troubleshooting the 

    issue.  We would want to be looking to see if any of your signal levels are out of range, what your FEC looks like and what you are seeing in the logs.

    WKYC-TV3 in Cleveland is NOT an OTA channel on cable.  The NBC affiiiate station, owned by TEGNA, supplies a separate digital program content feed to Spectrum.  Since you are streaming through the WKYC app or some other streaming service, your internet modem signal parameters look good.  However, the regional feed from the NFL could be noisy,  If this continues, you will need to schedule a home tech service visit to check it out.

    Thanks for the reply. I understand that WKYC or Tegna or whoever they are now, sends a digital signal to Spectrum for us to use, however, I find it very hard to believe I am the only one with this issue. I meant that WKYC is an OTA broadcaster, I can easily hook up and antenna and get the the feed for free. I'm paying $218 for Internet and 'Gold' TV package, using Spectrum's app on the 3 Apple TV's that I purchased from Spectrum. 

     

    It wasn't just that specific NFL game, this happens on that channel all the time, any program, even commericals. Not sure what the deal is but it needs to be looked into. I took FuboTV for a 7 day test spin and that same channel works perfectly, so its not my connection or devices.
