Spectrum TV app for Kindle Fire HDX

The Spectrum app for Kindle Fire HDX is stuck in an endless loop of telling me "the app must be updated" (it was updated Feb 18, 2020), and the open button - and it just loops from one to the other.

    Good morning.

     

    What OS are you using on the Kindle? What amount of space do you currently have available in memory? 

     

    I am seeing the current version of the app is:  7.19.0.3098495. 

    Last Updated: 2/10/20

    Minimum OS:  Kindle - 5.0 or higher

     

    Has the app been removed, the device cycled completely off and then it readded?

    Thanks @Julia_R ,

     

    Our 2013 Fire 7 HDX is running Fire OS 4.5.5.3 ... evidently, Amazon is not rolling out Fire OS 5 to older models, but only recently did the Spectrum TV app stop working. I've deleted the app, but now, it won't even appear in the Kindle App Store for our device.

     

    Guess they're forcing us to upgrade our device ... ugh ... it works great still!
