SAC2V2S Router Cannot be set band

I just received and installed a new SAC2V2S Router from Spectrum. Some devices will not connect due to the variable band technology. I need to be able to select the band for a device and it stay there, if not, this router is worthless.

Can this router be set to one or the other of the dual bands, or are we stuck with the variable bands?

Can I get a router that actually works for my needs, or is this the only option provided by Spectrum (other than the old slow router I was replacing)?

    Hello @OtisB! This router does have both 2.4G and 5G networks broadcasting and will switch automatically between the networks depending on which has the least amount of interference and the strongest signal. If you are needing to manage your wireless network settings you do have the option to purchase your own router and have the Wireless service removed from your account by speaking with a specialist at: 1-855-707-7328.
