Does Spectrum Block "3rd Party" DNS servers?

I have handled 2 client accounts where by all appearances, Spectrum suddenly started blocking alternate/non spectrum DNS. These alternate DNS entries were setup in the Non Spectrum Router. Spectrum was providing Modem only.

Hello @mleidig. Welcome to the Community!

I'm sorry you're having trouble with that. If you're using your own equipment you can set up the DNS however you'd like. That's not something we would block on our end.

Can confirm, as I periodically test alt DNS responsiveness for my consoles.

Have your tried pings/tracerts to the address to narrow down point of failure?
