On Demand Shows Periodically Restart From The Begining

I noticed this problem after the resent menu update on the Spectrum App. While watching on-demand movie the app automatically restarts the program from the beginning on the half hour. Why?

    On Demand is similar to a live transmission, because the content is being transmitted from Spectrum's network to the cable boxes, or Spectrum devices. On Demand can be sensitive to Internet, network, and signal issues, which can, from time to time, cause shows to blank screen, stop and go to the On Demand Menu, or start from the beginning.

    From time to time, I have had this issue in the wee hours of the morning between 12am-4am, which is during Spectrum's overnight maintenance window. (12-6am)

    If this happens, try another channel, and than go back to On Demand, select "Resume", and your feature should be playing.

    Unfortunately, sometimes you might have to start from the beginning, if the On Demand progress list does not show your content in progress. This is where recorded content with DVR service has an advantage, because you can always fast-forward on a completed recording once stored for playback.

    Constant On Demand problems could be a signal or line issue, and might require a service call for a signal/drop line test, if this is happening all the time with said content for a week or more.
