How do I get actual tech or network support? Is this the best place? Trying to get a jitter issue addressed.

    Hello @cbauer

Some amount of jitter is normal. We can assist you here if it is higher than it should be. Could you elaborate on the issues you're experiencing with the connection so that we can check into this for you?

Also, are you referring to jitter or are you referring to latency? I am not seeing any jitter statistics in the above trace routes.

I was seeing spikes in response time from games and voice apps. It is better now than it was this morning.

The jitter was based on the standard deviation, and since I found the cli flags to include those stats with mtr.

    mtr -r -c 100 -4 -o LDRSNBAWVJMXI 192.64.172.42

I'm not seeing any problems there. When running a traceroute you may see ping spikes to individual hops as their primary function is to forward data, responding to ping requests is not their top priority so they may be queued. Ultimately you are making it to the destination server with a low overall ping and almost no jitter.

How high are you seeing your ping spiking in games? Will you please run a regular ping test to 8.8.8.8 and the IP of the server you are having trouble with, and share the results? You can enter "Ping 8.8.8.8 -t" in your command prompt to start the test and Control+C to end it, I recommend letting it run for a few minutes to get a good sample size.

I wish I could, but I am now getting a request timeout to the 192.64.172.42 IP address. The provider must have taken that server offline, and the issue appears to be resolved.

Thank you again for looking into this!

    ping -c 100 192.64.172.42

IIRC, Riot Games has a way to generate some form of network performance/stability report. Forget if it was through their support portal, or something tied into the game/service itself.

Think they track historical connection data through your account managent too.

There are debug files for each game that can be uploaded and analyzed. There were some issues with Discord voice as well, but on Friday/Saturday there were reports of an Eduroam federation outage due to an I2 routing issue. Something was going on in the provider space that appears to have been resolved.
