Is UR5U-8780L-TWC RC incompatible with DCX3200M P3 STBs?

Hello.
The new UR5U-8780L-TWC RC only works with old DCX3510M DVR, but it doesn't work with two DCX3200M P3 STBs. However, two old UR5U-8790L-TWC RCs work fine. Is UR5U-8780L-TWC RC incompatible or something? Did the local cable store's lady give me an incompatible model? Does that make sense? I already tried different batteries, rebooting STBs, etc.

https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r33514709- fixed the issue. I needed to reset the new RC back to default factory settings and manually program it to use Motorola's 002 number code. I wonder why it didn't work originally. I never had to program these RCs for cable TV boxes before. :/

The DCX 3200 M is a much older box If memory serves that box was designed for guides and nodes on the old Motorola head-ends before Arris bought them out. You would need to pair up that UR5U-8780L with a box that would run ODN or Spectrum Guide. And I know from our past communications that you run ODN guide Ant.
What guide runs on your DCX 3200 box? You will probably need to upgrade that box to a newer model.which for non-DVR would be DCX 3510. I used to have a DCX 3510 with that exact remote. I love that remote! In my view it is better than the new Spectrum World Box remote (The URC 1160.)

Satch, both are using ODN with Spectrum brands when Charter took over TWC. Even Spectrum account confirms the same exact brands and models on the activated cable TV boxes and RCs. I noticed I can do factory reset the RC. Maybe I should try that, but how would I tell the RC to connect to these cable boxes? Or are they hard coded?

You can factory reset the remote. That won't hurt anything. Does the remote not work at all when paired with the DCX3200M? Or is it only for some commands? If that DCX3200M is running ODN, that should work. The box is older, but ODN is still a modern guide. If you are commanding your DCX3200M and press the Guide button on your remote, does the guide come on the screen?
In my market, Wisconsin, they no longer take the remotes back, which means that you can use the remote that works best for your equipment. What was the remote that you originally had with your DCX3200M box?
I could see an issue with the World Box remote URC-1160 possibly not working with a DCX3200M box. But if that DCX3200M box is running ODN software the Clickr Backlite should work on it.
