Why is it that sometimes I'm notified and sometimes I'm not about a system re-boot of TV service?

A few months ago I received an email that the cable TV service would be off because of maintenance to the system. A few weeks ago, it went out and I was not notified about it.

    That depends on whether the issue is planned maintience, which often gets notifications, or something happening unexpectedly, which does not get notifications. Maintenance/Updates can occur between 12am-6am during the night. Email and Voicemail notifications may be in effect during this time. It is normal to have these outages from time to time.

    However, if you are having daily problems and they have been going on for a week or more, you should probably call in to report the issue (s.)
