I have a Sony tv with a Cisco dvr box & sometimes when I change the channel on my Spectrum digital cable the picture breaks up. My Sony tv has a 120hz & motion smoothing it's every so often that it does it I see a black picture line then the channel I turned on will show the HD picture. But anyone know why the cable would react like this to my tv thanks if anyone knows

I wonder if it's the TV momentarily syncing up its 120-Hz display output from the cable receiver's 1080p60 whenever you change channels. Can you set the TV to just 60 Hz? Particularly just for the HDMI from the cable receiver? Not that you'd necessarily want to leave it at 60 Hz but just to see if that's the cause.

I may have fixed the problem I rebooted my cisco dvr box after I posted for help & it seems fine for now I unplugged the power cord & unscrewed the coax cable & then took out the HDMI cable from the back of the dvr box for like 30 minutes or something but I don't know yet how to go down to 60hz on my Sony tv yet probably have to Google that thanks not sure but Spectrum is nice with 120hz it may have been my box in my line though I will see in the next week or so if that was the case
