How do I install a new (personal) Modem ?
I have a really old personal (owned) modem that is getting flaky and needs to be replaced. Will be buying an new one (from the approved list) and was wondering what I need to do to swap them out other than the obvious swapping of cables etc.
When I installed the current one, I had to call (Brighthouse at the time) support and they had to do something (register it ??) for it to function.
So, do I need to contact CS or ?? or just plug & play ?

Welcome to our community! We would need to add the modem to the account in order for it to work. Once you have the new modem hooked up to the coax cable and plugged in, if you call 855-707-7328 or reach out to us on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram, we can get that added to the account for you.1
