Is Dynamic DNS resource available on the Spectrum Router

Hi everyone,

My router was slowly passing away so I decided to switch to the router provided by Spectrum. Now I have a much faster wifi service in my apartment.

I have a webcam on my LAN that can be accessed remotely using the service provided by DYN DNS, so I have to instruct the router to accept connections, given a user name and password. The routers you buy in shops have in their menus a page where you allow remote connection via Dynamic DNS.

Is there a chance I can do the same on my Spectrum Router model SAC2V2S ?

Thanks you all,

Stefano

    Hello @Steph_an0

Welcome to our community! Currently our SAV2V2S routers do not support Dynamic DNS or any kind of DNS customization.

At this time, we do not have any plans for this to be changed. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

    Hello Renee,

thank you for you answer. Do you believe that sooner or later you router, maybe a new version, will be able to support Dynamic DNS ? Also, I am intrigued by Spectrum's choice to let customers access the router non via LAN but using the APP or your website. There must be some solid reason I am curious to know.
