You'll have a monthly charge if you rent a Set Top Box from Spectrum. However, you could get an external basic Roku device for less than $30 and use the Spectrum TV App at no charge. You'll get the channels you currently subscribe to. Plus, the Roku uses Wi-Fi connectivity so no coaxial cable to the TV is required. Be aware that that the TV would not have a DVR.
