Hallmark Movies Not Recording Nov 2022

Noticed none of the Hallmark Christmas Movies for 2022 are recording. Also, saw an earlier (Jul 2022) question regarding the same thing. Everything shows it should record but when the time comes nothing happens and either the entry is gone or when you try to re-record it says already scheduled. What's going on with the Hallmark movies? And Spectrum, why did you close earlier complaints? When or what will the problem be fixed?

This is Hallmark’s fault, not Spectrum’s. It’s due to the ways and means and short-timeliness by which they shuffle their schedule particularly during Christmas movie runs. If a scheduled movie fails to record at its originally scheduled time, you may notice a cancellation event in the DVR event history which means that movie in that time slot was replaced by a different one, shortly in advance, and not moved out to a later time slot (which doesn’t mean it wasn’t already also scheduled in any later time slots.) Otherwise you may later notice it to have recorded in a later (as much as two days!) time slot which means it was moved out from the original time slot to the later one (having been replaced by something else in the original one) and the the record setting intuitively stuck with it. On top of that, you could have a shuffle of the second kind be later followed by one of the first kind in which case the cancellation event won't show up until as much as a couple of days later‼️ You just have to keep an eye on their schedule and the DVR recordings and the DVR event history.

I forgot to mention how a lot of this seemed to coincide with things rather suddenly becoming available on demand. If you notice anything suddenly just disappear from the guide schedule or the scheduled-to-record symbol has inexplicably changed to the canceled symbol (believe it or not) in the guide schedule before the scheduled air time, check to see if it hasn’t suddenly become available via on-demand. There’s a lot to keep an eye on.
