How can I pause and rewind live TV using the Spectrum TV app?
Spectrum TV App Supported Devices
watch.spectrum.net not loading on Safari via desktop Mac

I swapped my old DOCSIS 3.0 modem for a 3.1 modem 4 weeks ago today; today watch.spectrum.net would not load (spinning blue circle). After reading another thread here, I rebooted my modem and tp-link router (Archer A9), and watch.spectrum.net loaded as usual.
I never had to do a reboot with my old 3.0 modem--it ran reliably for years, with very few restarts--and I do not want to go through a periodic reboot every 4 weeks or so, if this should happen again.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you.

Hi @scottmk
The app authenticates on the website through the modem, so the laptop may be looking for the old modem to secure authentication. If the issue continues, please also try clearing the cache and cookies on the device.
Thanks!
Good morning @scottmk and welcome to the Spectrum Community.
I can certainly understand not wanting to reboot regularly. Than said, we do recommend rebooting, just as a general practice, twice a month or at least once. The modem is like its own little mini-computer and as speeds, data, and even equipment upgrades over time, the demands on it increase as well.
Also, our streaming is very data and resource intensive.. Plus, it works with your modem to determine entitlements (different than say streaming over Netflix).
In other words, it's not uncommon to need to reboot once a month. I would just encourage you to do it proactively instead of waiting for the frustration of a bad stream. Now, if it is happening once or more a day, several times a week, then something is probably needing to be addressed.
And of course, anyone who has tips and tricks, please share!
