Why can I go online to signup for a plan then go back and upgrade a plan but anything I want to do to reduce my bill (downgrade/cancel) has to be done over the phone? It doesn't seem like a complicated thing to add.

Thanks for the question! There are a number of reasons why the current company policy prohibits downgrades and cancelations online. These include some regulatory reasons such as verifying you are authorized to make changes as well as discussing with you the available options that best match your needs. Often, discounts are applied to bundled services and cancelling the service would result in a lost discount, that then ends up raising the overall monthly bill.
