Netgear Firmware Updates? - Netgear C7000v2 Issues

Spectrum has not pushed a new firmware update for the C7000v2 in ages.

Just until a day or two ago, I’m having intermittent 5GHz Wi-Fi drop outs with others on the Netgear forum with the same model modem/router having the same issues.

When can we expect Spectrum to push the latest firmware for Netgear devices?

    Thanks for the question. Firmware updates need to be tested and approved by our engineers for use on our network before they get pushed to devices. Once approved, they are pushed automtically.

    For context, the Netgear C7000 is a customer owned modem. You also have the option to use a Spectrum provided modem for no additional charge.
