I recently received a new remote and set it up, but when I press the guide button, the settings screen comes ip and visa versa. Also, the last channel button doesn't work.

Try re-running the Setup program for that remote again. If that does not change things, reboot your box. If that does not change things, call Spectrum, as the box codes may need to be corrected for your account.
What is the make and model of your box, and what guide runs on the box?. To check your guide type, Google Search, "What guide do I have", Spectrum? One of the first results will be a Spectrum site where you can enter your address and zip, and that will show all the guides that are in your market.
