Apple watch issues

Hello, When I'm setting up my apple watch for cellular, I receive a "The information you entered doesn't match our records. Please try again" I've doublechecked my username, which is my email and I also know the PW being used is correct. Both my apple watch and my iphone are updated to the latest software.
Am I missing a step?
