Email about 300mbps free upgrade.
I'm in the Worcester, MA area and was wondering when this upgrade is going into effect. I've tested my connection directly at the drop outside my home with my laptop using a wired cat6 connection to a Motorola mb762 DOCSIS 3.0 modem and I have never gotten more than 150mbps in all the years I have been here. Modem shows all downstream bonded channels locked and no errors in the event log.
Could it be an issue with provisioning? or is this just the nature of speeds being "up to" a certain amount? Still seems it should be better than 50% with no other traffic on the connection.

Welcome to the forum.
Your Motorola mb762 specs say it is a DOCSIS 3.0 modem https://www.motorola.com/us/mb7621/p . You need one rated for DOCSIS 3.1 to take advantage of better speeds. Spectrum provides modems at no cost (and provides free replacements) so you get one at a store on by calling. Be aware that Spectrum provided modems are "locked down" and can not be accessed by customers.
If full access is vital for you, you could purchase a Spectrum Authorized Modem, however, only Spectrum-provided equipment is supported by their technicians. https://www.spectrum.net/support/internet/compliant-modems-charter-network

Yeah I got that modem from the list of Spectrum Authorized Modems originally a few years ago.. well that is disappointing since the docs say the following
and I still see articles like the following https://updater.com/guides/spectrum-compatible-modems
Saying things like the following:
I'm specifically talking downstream here..

MB7621 is currently neither recommended nor supposedly authorized by Spectrum unless i'm missing something:
