Can't install wifi profile on iPhone

I am trying to install the Wifi profile on my iPhone but I keep getting an invalid profile error when it tries to import the profile.

I was able to locate your account using your registration information. Looks like you recently opened a new account. DId you create new credentials for the new account? If you are still using the credentials from the old account, that would result in the error message you are seeing.

I'm not sure how I would do this with Safari closed since you need to use Safari to download the profile.

Thanks! Have you tried clearing the history and removing the old wifi profile from the iPhone? It may be trying to still connect using the old credentials.

I have cleared the history and it still doesn’t work. I never had a profile installed from the old account.

Can you try downloading and using the My Spectrum app on the mobile device and let us know if you get the same error?

All i know is that it appears to be valid now so hit Settings and then scroll down and hit General and then scroll way down and hit VPN & Device Management and then hit the/each iteration of the profile you had previously downloaded and remove it/them and then turn around and give it another whack and see what happens.

I never had a previous profile installed. There’s nothing there.

I use my own router for wifi.

Got it! Apparently my account password had a character in it that was causing the profile to be invalid. I'm not sure which, if any, characters are restricted in mobileconfig profiles. Odd. It is working now.

Glad to hear it! Resetting the password was going to be the next step. If the issue should return, try restarting the modem first followed by changing the password if restarting doesn't resolve the issue.
