I'm currently in an outage, My account has notificaitons for service issues indicated, yet I am not recieving notifications of the outage. WHY would the option be there on my account if it's not used as it should be?

There are a few reasons you may not get a notification. Most common is that it is either an individual issue or does not trigger the outage threshhold.
If your services are still impacted, you can check for notifications and updates using the My Spectrum App. I've also included an Outage Information link that may be useful.
