Why Would ESPN+ Be Placed on a Tier (Spectrum Select+)That's Only a Month Old?

Guys,

A customer just asked me this question and it is a very valid point. Since the Spectrum Select+ plan is so new, will current customers on regular Spectrum Select receive ESPN+, or is that unknown at this time? I can't see people upgrading from Spectrum Select to Spectrum Select+ just for ESPN+.

It’s all market and ratings driven as far as i’m concerned, Satch. Disney has a vested interest à la ESPN in propping up the rather underrated NHL and Spectrum has their own in getting people off of legacy plans and so they met halfway and so if you want ESPN+ included in your subscription it will have to be a non-legacy subscription that includes revenue sharing with not only the MLB and NBA and NFL but also the NHL and therefore only TV Select Plus because that’s the only one that includes the flagship networks of all four major professional sports leagues and note that NHL Network is the only one of those four that can’t be re-couped via the Entertainment View add-on and that’s all i can figure so far.

Update: That's too much speculation on my part. My bad. Everybody please ignore my previous comment and please give Satch some better insight if you can.

Yes they should get ESPN+ , You should also include ESPNU and CBS Sports Net in the sports package. I purchased a sports package, but it is missing ESPNU and CBS SportsNet
