Confusion Over Credit Amount for Disney Dispute

I wonder if someone from Spectrum can clarify the credit amount for the Disney Dispute? There are reports of some subscribers receiving a $15 credit but according to my recent Ask_Spectrum DM, only $6 will be credited. We have the Gold Package.

"Impacted customers who have not yet received a credit due to the programming dispute will automatically receive a one-time credit. The credit amount was determined based on your video subscription package and the programming interruption. For your account you get a One-time, $6 credit. It was added to your account but since your bill came out already on 8/26 you wont see it until the next bill that comes out on 9/26. -SPS"

    Hi @catchtwentytwo,

I got the same message about the $6.00 credit and the same above quoted response. Went to @Ask_Spectrum on Twitter, whom I follow and pollitly asked them to add the remaining $9,00 credit to my account. The rep was extreamlly nice and did just that! I should get a full $15 credit on my next bill. Just be nice to them about adding the additional $9.00 credit, and they should do that for you!

Thanks Satch, I hope the moderators weigh in on this since it doesn't make any sense.

My credit is $6.00 (Silver package). I guess I can't expect $15? Are they kidding? $6.00 isn't even one dollar a day. The US Open tennis tournament was blacked out for 10 days and broadcast almost all day into the night for at least 7 of those days. I found another way to watch...and it wasn't Fubo, fyi. I have been a cable subscriber since Adelphia first installed it in my neighborhood circa 1987. Spectrum wouldn't have me as a customer now but for the fact that I've kept the cable active through the Time Warner and Spectrum transitions. That longevity makes no difference when communicating with them. Given the length of the blackout, especially of an important major sporting event, and the inconvenience it caused, a credit in the $20-$30 range would have been fair and evidence that Spectrum appreciates my business...only in my dreams.

    Hi @apat_15,

1.) Get a Twitter account or log in if you have one.

    2.) Follow @Ask_Spectrum

3.) Be polite to them, and say that you understand there was a $15 credit being issued, and you have only been credited $6.00. They will credit the $9.00 difference.

4.) The credit will appear within 72 hours.

5.) Managment set that credit. The reps can't go highter than $15. Have no idea why they are only charging $6.00 and you have to ask for the other $9.00.

Hopefully the moderators can help with this. It appears to be counter productive to have to tie up Spectrum CSRs with extra phone calls and social media DMs when they could authorize it across the board.

Same here with old silver TV package! I was told $15 a few week ago, but got $6 (missing $9). I guess I'll have to contact Spectrum again online. This is quite frustrating! :(

I chatted with an online web site chat agent earlier. He was confused why I didn't get $15 so he gave me $10 to add to $6 for my next bill.
