Home phone voicemail removal

I requested for the voicemail of my home phone to be removed so I could receive my messages to my home answering machine, and I was told that within twenty-four hours that the spectrum home phone voicemail would be removed and, the voicemail was still active, and a message says that my spectrum voicemail still hasn't been setup.

    Voicemail can be managed by going to spectrum.net and logging into your account and selecting "Forward Calls When No Answer" under settings. You can turn it off (disables Voicemail) or you can set it to a higher number of rings than your answering machine, so the answering machine will pick up first.
