Distortion in audio of local channels

I get distortion in the audio in STL region, mostly on ch2 which is a local channel. The morning news and the evening news are the worst. Three different TV's, three different cable boxes. ONLY get it on local channels. Before I get the service reps and techs out, has anybody else noticed it? In the Illinois side of STL region. By the way, the distortion is NOT in the signal if using air TV ( I have both). Signal clean as a whistle.
