Stop the "press ok to continue viewing"

On cable box, after 5–6 hours, a dialog "press ok to continue viewing" appears on the screen for a few seconds. If I don't press ok, it changes channel. Sometimes it will "freeze" like I hit pause. I need it to continue to play the channel I selected, not stop or change the channel.
