The spectrum app crashes on my iPhone 12 when trying to access DVR recordings from within the app. I have done all the standard suggestions including making sure phone and app is up date, deleting the app and reinstalling, and resetting the network settings.

    Good evening @dbuscaino and Welcome to our Community Forums

    Thank you for reaching out to us about your Cloud DVR and your iPhone 12. I will need to ask a few questions to determine the best course of action. Are you experiencing this on any other device? Also, how much storage is available on this device? -Lyn

    I'm not experiencing this problem on any other device which includes a Roku device and another iPhone 12 Max. The problem only occurs on the iPhone 12. The iPhone 12 is a 256GB phone with 98GB free. As mentioned before, my phone has all current updates and I have deleted and reinstalled the spectrum app several times. Other features of the Spectrum app work but when I try to access my DVR recordings, the Spectrum App crashes.

    I have the exact same problem on my iPhone 12 mini. I used to be able to watch recorded programs on the iPhone, but the app just shuts down immediately when I try to open the DVR function.

    @dbuscaino

    Are you connected to your home network when you experience this issue? Or you using cellular data?

    The issue occurs regardless of whether I’m an on my home WiFi network or whether using a cellular network. I have also tried resetting my network settings on the iPhone but without any success.

    The app works in conjunction with your internet modem. Please sign out of the app, reboot the modem then sign back into the app. Let me know if this helps.

    I did exactly as requested, signed out of the app, reset my internet modem, and then logged back into the app. Same result. App works fine but as soon as I look at recorded DVR shows it crashes. I can look at scheduled recordings just fine but trying to access DVR crashes the program. I have removed and installed the app several times as well.

    iOS 17.2 is supposedly right around the corner and, after its release, it would be nice if anybody would update this discussion for as to whether it fixes that problem. Otherwise search up and hit Analytics in Settings and see what it says about sharing iPhone analytics with Apple developers and furthermore allowing Apple to share app crash analytics with app developers; the more people with this problem who do both, the merrier.
