How to fix error code GDVR-1004?

Just got a new cable box (TV/DVR), my old one stopped working. When I try to record a show from the guide with the new box, I get the error code GDVR-1004.
When I record a show I am currently watching, it seems to work.
How do I fix the problem?

Sometimes you need to restart a new cable box again after it is installed to ensure that all updates are completed. Can you try restarting the cable box (unplug for 30 seconds and then plug back in) and let us know if it is not resolved.
