Clear recent history doesn't work on apple tv Spectrum App?

When using the Spectrum App with Apple TV, the "clear recent history" function does not work. While it says it cleared the history it isn't being cleared.

Have you tried restarting or resetting the Apple TV?

I did try restarting. Would prefer not to have to reset all my settings. I did try to uninstall and reinstall the spectrum app with no luck.
The history is not fully clearing when it says it does. Also there is no way I can find to clear the recently watched list in the Apple TV above the dock.
