How to I get an internet connection using IPv6 ?
I'm fiber customer, obviously using spectrums modem but I am using a wifi mesh system and I have ipv6 turned on in the main router settings but have not established a ipv6 address, I connected the technical support for the router but they told me to contact my isp, any help with this?

Had to set it up as passthrough ipv6 and seem to recall setting the delegation to use a /56 subnet.

Are you getting an IPv6 address with just one device like a desktop PC plugged straight into our modem, with an IP set to acquire automatically?

Forget all the specifics for delegation and such... been a few years since I tinkered with it. Seem to recall something about /56 for the subnet?
Phones got along with it fine, but Windoze was flaking out though so I disabled it again in my router.

Yes, I am, but when using my own router, it fails to obtain a IPV6 Address I have it set to automatically obtain a IPV6 Address, but it still fails to obtain one, all settings on pc look fine, it seems to be a router issue? The technical support for the router told me to contact my isp yet again after another call to see if it was something overlooked.

Thankfully it worked! Appreciate the help! was a bit time consuming due to the face I had to reboot router two times before it picked up. But it's there!

It is a little funky because you are basically telling it the length of the mask... some people goof and set it too long and wind up without enough slots to put all their devices on the network.
/56 is effectively like 255.255.255.0 in the IPv4 world. Should give you more than enough headroom to play with.
