Ethernet Switch?

So, this is not an issue currently, but it was in the past before I started using my own router I had a Wi-Fi 6 router and for the love of God, I could not get an ethernet switch to work, but as soon as the technician swapped the modem and router out (Related to another issue) the switch starting working?
I was just curious if the new 6E router fixed that problem specifically, or was it just a faulty router to start? or how they were configured with the spectrum network?

It might have been an issue with the router. Since is working correctly now.

After doing a little bit of research I have confirmed that, others had similar issues due to a faulty router.
