Watching TV on my Laptop

Why is it that after watching the same channel for several hours Charter finds it allowable to end my connection? It automatically goes to the menu page for what's on. Who thought that was the right thing to do? And how do I stop it from happening? its so freaking annoying.

    Thank you for reaching out to us about using our streaming services on your lap top. I am sorry that you are noticing the service reverting to the menu page after watching for several hours. Before this happens are you receiving any kind of message? Or does it just go to the menu screen? -Lyn
