Cannot get MENU on TV screen

I noticed that I cannot get several channels on my TV, and I think maybe parental controls have been somehow activated. When I press the MENU button on my remote, it does not respond. There are no children in the house and I am the only one who uses this TV and cable box. The other TV in the house does not have this problem.

    Do you have an error message on the missing channels?
    Have you tried rebooting the receiver?
    Do other buttons on the remote work? If not, have you tried new batteries?
