Where is the Remote Sensor Located on a World Box? (No Clock)
Asking for reference.

Hey @Satch. Unfortunately this isn't provided in any documentation I can find. I'd imagine sensors are towards the front, you might be able to put something metal in front of the receiver blocking one side at a time to narrow down the location.

No. Either the down-arrow of the nav-cluster or, just as well, EXIT to exit DVR playback. EXIT twice, as ever, to exit on-demand. Exiting either reverts to live TV.

Aren't World Boxes using RF rather than IR?

Aren't World Boxes using RF rather than IR?
Hi @catchtwentytwo,
You can program them for either. A video provided within the Spectrum Guide and Spectrum online support videos shows examples of both the RF remote and the IF box configurations. Due to an elderly family member's familiarity with the Clickr Backlite remote (Traditional IR) buttons, our tech paired that remote with the World Box. and it works fine.
RF (Radio Frequency)- will only work with World Box Remotes and a World Box. You don't have to point the World Box Remote directly at the remote sensor for it to work. The RF programing goes through batteries faster than traditional IR programing.
IR (Infer-red )- Traditional Remote, where you point at the box to control the box.
Traditional IR responses work with the old Clikr Backlite remotes when paired with world boxes except for the following:
B-button search does not bring up the keyboard search shortcut. It does however, bring up category options when the guide is opened.
World Box remotes lack a "Live TV" button. (Does anyone know how to go to Live TV using a world Box remote?)
Clickr Backite remotes, when paired with World Boxes, use the Last button to "Exit." C button does nothing.
IR Remotes have been the traditional remotes given out by Spectrum for over a decade, and have been paired with World Boxes to provide a "Best fit" experience, as World Boxes did not even exist back than.
World Box Remotes can only be paired with "No Clock" World Boxes. These remotes were specifically designed for those boxes.
Customers still seem to prefer the older IR remotes by as much as 4 to 1. This is probably due to older people's resistance to change, more than anything else,

Probably the easiest way to locate it would be to selectively cover front portions of the box and experiment.

Hey, Satch, whatever the "LIVE" button does and whenever does it with older remotes, nav-cluster down-arrow does with the rather slick, black Spectrum remote having the round, blue menu button.

Does this mean that on a World Box remote, if you are in playback DVR mode, any of the arrows will return the user to live TV?
