Billing
Why do I receive my bill in the mail the same day it is due?

Good morning @jb52,
Sorry for any confusion or frustration about your billing statement. Bills are printed monthly and are usually due on the same day. You can always view your current and past billing statements anytime by accessing them online through logging in to your Spectrum account at or through the My Spectrum App. Your bill is available online to review and or pay 7 days before it is due and you will receive a notification when the statement is available.
For your convenience, we do offer paperless billing and you can also elect to enroll in automatic payments. If you are interested in these options, you can find more information at Billing & Payment FAQs.
Due to regulations in a few states, such as yours, there are different timeframes for when a bill is due. The standard for your area is 11 days from the start of your bill cycle. With this different timeframe, you also get a longer period after the due date before a late fee is applied, as well as a longer period before any disconnection events occur.
Thanks for the question!

Hello and Welcome to the Community @jb52!
Something is wrong here. You should always get around a fifteen to twenty day grace period to pay your bill without collection charges. I would log in to your Spectrum account and go under billing and you will see when the date is due for payment on the website. Follow that. For example, my bill is mailed around the first of the month, and is always due on the eighteenth of the month.
To keep from forgetting payments I have my email/calendar system send a reminder date that never ends where I write "Pay Bills Due." as the reminder.I set that notice for around the sixth of each month and it works out great.
I keep paper statements as a back up because I live with an elderly person who has trouble with things like technology and auto pay plans. You should just do what I do, and only use the paper statement as a backup.
You could always call Spectrum, ask for billing, and inquire "Why am I receiving paper statements on the date my bill is due?" Note that I am assuming you don't have an overdue balance. Even if you call Spectrum and ask for billing, I recommend using the online method and payment method described above. I pay all bills through online banking.
