I am a new customer. Can I provide my own router, if so what kind do I need?

I have a Netgear that covers my whole house. Will that be ok?

Hello and welcome to the Spectrum Community!

You are welcome to use any router that works best for you. The best thing to look at is the speeds they are capable of to make sure the router can handle the speeds you pay for.

Been using my own routers since the roadrunner beta in our market back in the 90's. Let it autoconfig the uplink, no password required. Might call for a reboot sometimes if the modem has to reboot... can vary from router to router. Otherwise no issues at 3 different homes.
