Does Spectrum support 3rd party DVRs purchased by resellers?

Purchased a samsung SMT-H3272 through 3rd party, but customer support saying box MUST be purchased through spectrum? Please confirm.

    Hi @Boffah, welcome to our community!

    Unfortunately 3rd party DVRs are not supported, you would need to rent one from us or you can use our Cloud DVR service which does not require a physical device beyond what you use to view the Spectrum TV app.
