High split/symmetric internet in Brockport NY area

I recently moved to the Brockport NY area. I was disappointed to find that the 300mbps plan only comes with a 10mbps upload speed in my area. When I signed up it was advertised as symmetric.

Does anyone know when this area's network will be upgraded to high split? I would very much like a faster upload speed. I forgot to ask the customer service rep when I was speaking to him.

    Hello @legonate

Welcome to our community! Since most of the high split work is a variety of network upgrades, we aren't given estimates on when it will be available in advance in case those upgrades take longer than anticipated. Once the faster speeds are available you will receive a notice on your billing statement.

    O.o

I thought the base tier was going to remain assymetrical, even after the high split changes?

May have to start doing some research on a new modem (I always eventually buy my own).

Just checked with chat in the app (reached out to them for a different question). Our area in South Carolina is slated for a March 2025 rollout. Timeline can still vary of course, but it is a more specific answer than we had previously gotten when we called in.

If you haven't been able to get more specific info from your local office or the toll free number on your bills, could try the chat feature in the mobile app.
