Why I can't change my wifi channel

Hello and welcome to the Spectrum Community!
If you are using one of our newer routers the settings are limited as the routers are designed to find the best channel/frequency for each device automatically.
If you prefer to have full access to all settings within the router you are able to purchase your own router.

Contrary to what you might think if you notice multiple different 802.11ax access points circling the wagons around the same channel in your airspace, they would be doing so by 802.11ax channel coloring design, and that 802.11ax hyper-coexistence black magic isn't something to try to defeat as far as i'm concerned.
