I have had spectrum for 2 weeks now. This past week there has been outages of 3 hours each of the last 5 days..why? Anyone else have this issue or problem (central Texas)?

    Hi Joe,

Welcome! What Spectrum services do you have? Does everything go out, or only some services? Is it at night or early morning? 12:00am-6:00am are the times when Spectrum does system maintenance and updates to the network. When you call Spectrum. do you get a voicemail message about the outage? What about any bad weather in the area over the last three weeks? Any of those factors could bring about an outage. Post back with answers to these questions, and this will give us a clearer picture of what might be happening.

I only have internet service (500 mbs). It is not the same time and varies from 4:30 am to 1:00 pm. We have not been having inclement weather unless 95° plus with a heat index is considered bad weather.

    Thanks Joe,

I would get a tech out to check out your lines. 95 degrees with heat indexes can go up to about 105 degrees and humidity can actually cause problems with aging lines. You can also set up signal monitoring with Spectrum for free. When the tech comes out, let him know the time variation between 4:30 am-1:PM for loss of Internet.

You want to specifically ask for a signal and drop line test when you request the service call and get signal monitoring on your line. That should put in a troubleshoot ticket for them to investigate. If you have a basement, the tech should check out the wiring there as part of his/her investigation.

I think you have a line or wiring issue outside somewhere that needs investigating.
