Spectrum Guide Boot Up Process- "Press any Key to Continue?"

Guys

On Spectrum Guide Booting, What is the significance of "Press any key to continue?" What if you don't? Doesn't the box boot up anyway? It does if the TV is off, so why is that message there?

    Garden-variety energy-saving feature, i suppose. The box is fully booted and primed for live TV with the push of any button (other than on/off toggle, of course) in that state or else it'll cycle off after 30 minutes, as far as i can tell.
