Do your pods create a mesh network?

While Spectrum WiFi Pods are presumably essentially range extenders, they are pretty hifalutin ones in that they employ a separate dedicated channel for backhaul like mesh systems do. I take it that the backhaul channel is a hidden as in non-discoverable channel in the 5-GHz band apart from the mainline discoverable 2.4 and 5 GHz channels so you'd want to have each pod within 5-GHz range at least one other pod if not the Advanced Home WiFi router. Unless Spectrum has updated their pods, they are only a 2.4 frequency. I used to install them and it has been about a year since I've touched one. They are not like the Orbi, nighthawk, to link, or Linksys mesh systems. They advertise them to be a mesh, but they are just a glorified single frequency extender.
