Ping Spikes During Gaming
I recently just built a new computer and I have been experiencing lag spikes while gaming. I don't believe it is PC related spikes due to the games I am playing and the age of the games.
Can this fixed through a new router and modem?

Welcome to our community! I'm sorry to hear about the lag spikes. Are you able to run a trace route? Sometimes the game company will have an IP address listed in their support information that you can run the trace to so that you can make sure it's getting to the game servers rather than something like Google since the Google servers that are being pinged may be located in a different part of the country than the game servers and the connection may be taking a different path to get there.

As far as I am able to see, Valve does not give out IP Address' of Dota 2 game servers.
