Cable box

An on screen tv message said my cable box (that houses the DVR) was too hot and to remove it out of a closed in space. It was not in a closed in space, I exchanged it at a Spectrum office for a brand new one. This one also gets as hot as the old one, but I have not yet received a message on the tv stating that. Does anyone else have this problem?

    Hey there!

Thank you for your comment! I am sorry you are experiencing this issue with the cable box. Some of our Spectrum110/210 boxes do run on the warmer end when enclosed in an entertainment center. However, with proper ventilation, it shouldn't be super-hot to a point it can burn you. Can you confirm which box you received when exchanging at the store? That information would be available on the back of the cable box.
