Internet came back for hours now its down again
Our Internet came back up about 5 pm yesterday but this morning it's now down again. We are in the 34698 area. Can you tell us if it will be back up again soon. My employer is getting mad and putting pressure on me for something I do not have control over. I've checked the only other cable company in this area and they said they can't help as Spectrum has contract with the complex I'm in. This may be so, but we still pay for our Spectrum plan separately to get the higher speeds for work at home.
So, not sure what employer is going to do. I have to use my own personal time or I don't get paid.
Since we've been on the internet in 1999 we have never had any carrier have this long of down time. Ever.

Good morning,
I do show that there was a service interruption for your area due to a loss of commercial power as a result of the recent hurricane. At this time, your modem appears online. It's not listed if this is because power is restored, or if a generator is in use as the service alert still shows active. A generator can restore service to a limited area, but only while it has sufficient fuel to do so and maintenance is available for refueling. To note, while you may have power in your home, our equipment outside your home requires power as well to function.

Hello! I do apologize for the issues you are having with our service.
If your services are affected by the storm damage then it can take time to repair the services. There was significant infrastructure and power damage in the areas hit by the storm. We are not given any further details as to what is needed for the repairs. For the most part no estimates are given for restoration. You can check the My Spectrum App or our website here for updates and to sign up for notifications.

I can assure you if we had an idea of how much longer service would be down we would provide that estimate, it does not benefit us to withhold that information. Our technicians can usually estimate how long a single repair will take for a simple problem, but not always for widespread multifactored issues. It is already escalated to the highest level possible.
