since outlook new was installed, worked fine on outlook classic

Outlook is a third-party email server, so we do recommend reaching out to them for any issues you may experience in sending and receiving emails through that server. However, if you are experiencing an issue with your email through our webmail.spectrum.net, we would love to hear more and assist.

Welcome to the Community Forums. Can you provide us the error message you have been receiving? Can you also visit our webmail site and see if you can send email there?
