What are the sizes of the RF Cable boxes?
I am planning on adding a free standing, floor to ceiling, room divider gas fireplace with a TV above. I do not want to have a Cable box visible and would like to have it hidden in the side wall of the room divider. What are the dimensions of an RF Cable Box so I can plan for a small opening to place the cable box. I contacted tech support and they were not able to find any dimensions for the cable boxes. Are there any other considerations I should be aware of for doing this type of installation?

Hi Bob, Welcome!
From Google:
The exact dimensions of a Spectrum World Box are not readily available online, however, based on information about similar devices, it is likely to be around 10 inches deep x 12 inches wide x 2 inches high; it's important to note that this could vary depending on the specific model and manufacturer of the "World Box.".

For myself being in cable TV for many decades one of the most important factors with these World Boxes is proper ventilation. You want to have at least 4 inches of open space on all sides of the box and nothing on top of the box to prevent overheating. This is essential. You also want the box to be easily accessible for you and tech support should a service call be needed. Don't put anything on top of the box, because you will block the critical ventilation holes of you do this. That's about all that you need to keep in mind.

Hello @Bob_NM,
Welcome to the community forums! For that, we don't have a spot that would advise the dimensions of a box. But keep in mind that the boxes we have vary a bit, so unless you get one from the store, those dimensions differ. Though on that note, if you want to stick with a cable box specifically, you can visit a store and get the direct size of the boxes available there. Or you can also consider the streaming capable devices we have, like Xumo, Roku and Apple TVs. It really depends on what you were wanting to do, but it's also a matter of, for troubleshooting situations down the line, what would be more accessible. Just food for thought!
