Spectrum TV App stops responding to certain actions after a short while

A couple months back the Spectrum TV App started having issues. After watching a program for over an hour without changing the channel, then selecting a different channel via the guide, it would not actually change the channel. The guide won’t do anything but stay in a frozen state. The only thing that works is to continually hit the remote ‘menu’ button to exit out of the app.
THEN once the app is in the background the audio continues as if the app is still active. Even after actually ‘quitting/closing’ the app the audio continues until another app is started or the Spectrum TV app is started again.

No other apps exhibit this behavior.

tvOS 18.3

Connected via gigabit ethernet

Spectrum TV App ver 3.18

    Hello @Alientek! There's no alerts about a known issue on that kind in my system for Apple TV. Please uninstall and reinstall the Spectrum TV app. You can visit https://www.spectrum.net/support/internet/apple-tv for the steps if you need them.

    Apple has released a swath of updates since you posted, including tvOS 18.3.1❗️ A double-dot update with no published CVE entries such as it is, typically means pure bug fixes. Share whether it fixes that one if you've a mind to.☘️

    I have the exact same issue! Reinstalling spectrum app, restarting router, restarting AppleTV, didn't solve the problem Still having the issue. VERY, VERY frustrating. Running on the latest iOS.
