Spectrum TV App stops responding to certain actions after a short while

A couple months back the Spectrum TV App started having issues. After watching a program for over an hour without changing the channel, then selecting a different channel via the guide, it would not actually change the channel. The guide won’t do anything but stay in a frozen state. The only thing that works is to continually hit the remote ‘menu’ button to exit out of the app.
THEN once the app is in the background the audio continues as if the app is still active. Even after actually ‘quitting/closing’ the app the audio continues until another app is started or the Spectrum TV app is started again.
No other apps exhibit this behavior.

Apple has released a swath of updates since you posted, including tvOS 18.3.1❗️ A double-dot update with no published CVE entries such as it is, typically means pure bug fixes. Share whether it fixes that one if you've a mind to.☘️

I have the exact same issue! Reinstalling spectrum app, restarting router, restarting AppleTV, didn't solve the problem Still having the issue. VERY, VERY frustrating. Running on the latest iOS.

Same issue here but it just got much worse. Just updated to the latest TV OS 18.4. At first the app would just crash, deleted and re-installed and that actually made it worse, now it doesn't work at all. Might be time to finally dump Spectrum.

Updated to tvOS 18.4 - didn’t fix the issue
Updated Spectrum App to Ver 3.19 - didn’t fix the issue
Deleted Spectrum App & reinstalled it - didn’t fix the issue
Updated Spectrum App to Ver 3.20 - didn’t fix the issue but now also started randomly crashing (screen goes from app to Apple Tv menu instantly). Also quite often after selecting a channel, the program time/info banner would not ‘go away’.
Updated Spectrum App to Ver 3.21 - didn’t fix the original issue & it still randomly crashes. Also when opening the guide (swiping left) it doesn’t open the guide at the currently viewed channel. It opens it showing a channel a few higher or lower.
