It is a known problem with no timetable for resolution.
only option is to return your set top box to a Spectrum site and ask for one of the DVR's that are supported. The issue is with the newist desktop box and it has been since they rolled them out. I had the same issue and exchanged mine. The customer services reps new exaclty why I was asking to exchange my box because the are getting tons of request.
I have the same problem.
